There is one thing we want to do with our wines more than anything else and that is to inspire. We do this by working out the characteristics of each grape variety we cultivate right down to the smallest detail and by emphasising the typicity of their area of origin. With our extensive winegrowing expertise and passion, we cultivate ten typical Alto Adige grape varieties on terraces at challenging altitudes of up to 860 metres above sea level and select only the best hand-picked grapes for the production of our quality wines. The result is well-balanced, fresh mountain wines with a captivating aroma and elegance. Within three quality lines we produce characterful whites, typical varietal reds as well as a sweet dessert wine.

Designation of origin: Alto Adige DOC
Grape variety: Schiava
Vinification: The winemaking process involves traditional mash fermentation over 12 days, followed by ageing and storage in stainless steel tanks for 9 months.
Degustation: The wine has a light ruby red color. Its fruity bouquet is reminiscent of wild berries and ripe cherries. It is full on the palate, with subtle acidity and pleasant tannins, and ends with a harmonious aftertaste.
Dish ideas: Puntay Kalterersee is best served chilled. It goes wonderfully with pizza and Mediterranean dishes – but also with a speck and cheese platter. The perfect wine to spend a cozy evening with friends.
